Jupiter Farms Christmas Parade December 4, 2011

We have gone to the Jupiter Farms Christmas Parade every year since we moved into Jupiter Farms.  It's what I call a homegrown parade.  Anyone can be in it, you just have to register.  It's not uncommon to see lots of farm-like floats!

My baby and my little baby.
Sergio spotted some friends and ditched Mom and Dad! :(

Some arrived via lawn mower to watch!

Sergio spotted his friend Sam, who he adores, and ran up to him to give him a hug right in the parade!! See him go in his red shirt?

Hi Sam!!

Walking back to Mom and Dad but looking like he is in the parade!

Sam waving and Sergio still in the pack!

Sam's Dad, Kurt gets a high five.

The Grand Marshall and some ROTC kids.

Lots of beautiful horses.

Representing all the military branches.

This float was neat, it's theme was "A Christmas Story"

See the kid with his tongue stuck to the flag pole?

Ballerinas on this float.

Rottweiler rescue float.

This was a skunk ape float..!!??..

A float pulled by a John Deere with the participants in pajamas!

This was nicely decorated.

Llamas!

This monster buggy came jamming tunes with the Gingerbread man dancing away; Sergio said it was his favorite!  Maybe because he started hsaking his booty!

A back of the truck float.
What's coming next?  Sergio and friend.

A front loader!

Girl Scouts Misfit Toy float.

German Shepard Rescue Float and walkers.

?? ?? ??

People dressed up riding bicycles.

This guy is in the parade every year dressed like this.

Sergio hanging with his pals from ABC Montesorri.

More folks dresses up riding their horses.

Right out of a Norman Rockwell vision!

Sending Christmas Cards.... Is the Tradition Still Strong?

I started making our Christmas cards today.  I see all these nice cards online and get inspired with all great ideas... then I sit down to create and it's not as easy as it looked!

Is sending Christmas cards a dying tradition?  I used to send to everyone in my address book, give to co- workers and friends.  I also tried keeping track of who didn't send one back and then thought of not sending one thier way the following year-that is too much work and I realize that my good intention doesn't have to be duplicated, if that was the response that I was looking for, then I was sending them for the wrong reason.  I still do the last minute scramble when I receive a card from someone I didn't send to, and hurry one out to the mailbox for them.

I used to display all the cards that we received from others along a doorway or something similar, now I put them in a little Christmas basket.

I like to include a photo in the Christmas cards; either a family picture or at least one of Sergio V.

So, who will I send to this year?  All our family, and OUR friends.  Will everyone get a handmade card?  Not at the rate I'm going.....  :)

The Old Man In The Mountain

Have your attention?  Okay he's not in a mountain but my husband turned 45! LOL! It's funny how any age that was even close to 50 seemed ancient!  I don't view it that way anymore but I do think I could use some botox in a few areas!  I hate wrinkles!
Here are some pictures of the celebrations!
